Volunteer for A Prosperous Nepal (VFAPN) is an appeal, a movement and a platform. It carries a vision of positive transformation through societal action.
It is an appeal of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to us the people of Nepal to revive the glory of our beautiful country, to build it into a peaceful and prosperous country.
It is a constructive movement of we the citizens of Nepal who love our country more than anything else. We cannot remain a mute witness to the erosion of our societal values, and devastation of our natural wealth- the only assets that make us rich and proud. We must protect them with all our might, by doing things right.
It is a platform that helps convert the goodwill of us the citizens into meaningful actions in a structured and collective fashion. Every nation is build by its own citizens. We are no exception. Let us volunteer our quality time for our beloved-nation. Whether it is an hour, a day, a week, or a month of our time, they all matter all the same. They all collectively make a change.
Let us start building our beloved country- one block at a time. Let us create a stress-free and violence-free Nepal for us and for all our coming generations.
The Art of Living is founded by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in 1981. This non-profit educational and humanitarian organization is engaged in stress elimination and service initiatives and operates globally in more than 152 countries.
The Art of Living programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy- “if we want to achieve peace in society we have to start from having peace within ourselves first.”
To help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace, the Art of Living offers several stress-elimination and self-development programs based on yoga, meditation and the SudarshanKriya, a unique rhythmic breathing technique which has already benefited millions of people from all religions, cultures and traditions all around the globe.
The Art of Living has brought peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects including that on conflict transformation, disaster management, environment conservation, sustainable rural development, women empowerment and rehabilitation support at prisons and rehab centers.
